One
Within the church, there is only one body, that being the body of Jesus and therefore
there is only one church. The theme one bride means that the church is Jesus’ bride and he
loves the church, like a man should love his wife. In the theme one head , it means that
since there is only one body, naturally there is only one head. Jesus is the head of the
church and that means that the church is not lead by man, but by Jesus. The last theme is one
mind and that is the mind of Jesus. Jesus’ mind is the mind of the church. We need to follow
Jesus’ word and not let man fill our minds with his words. We need to know that there are
other types of churches and denominations, but the bible states that there is only one church
and that is Jesus’ church. In order to be unified in spirit with other members of the church, we
must follow Jesus’ teachings in the bible and follow his example. Jesus calls us to be of one
body and one mind. He calls us to treat the church as a bride and love unconditionally. Jesus
calls us to be unified with brothers and sisters of the church and look for ways to be selfless for
the greater good of the church. The world is full of denominations, but Jesus detests that and
